Ben Caplan is a seasoned British actor with a celebrated career across television, film, and theatre. Best known for his role as Sergeant Peter Noakes in the award-winning BBC series Call the Midwife, Ben has become a familiar face on British screens, with additional credits including Band of Brothers, Silent Witness, The Lost Honour of Christopher Jefferies, and The Capture. His work blends authority, vulnerability, and depth — making him a go-to performer for both period drama and contemporary roles.
Trained at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, Ben has also performed on stage in the UK and internationally, including work with the Royal Shakespeare Company and in New York.
Alongside his acting work, Ben is a passionate acting coach and mentor, guiding young performers through audition technique, character development, and screen confidence. He is known for his calm, clear approach and deep understanding of the actor’s process.
