Jason LaMotte is an award-winning film director known for his visually rich, emotionally resonant storytelling and work across short films, features, and narrative development. Originally from the U.S. and now based in the UK, Jason has directed projects that have screened at prestigious festivals including Sundance, Palm Springs, and Cannes Short Film Corner.

With a background in screenwriting and directing, Jason is passionate about character-driven stories and working closely with actors to create authentic, layered performances. His breakout short, The Terms, earned international acclaim and led to multiple directing opportunities in both the U.S. and Europe. Teaching Style

Jason is thoughtful, collaborative, and deeply actor-focused. He guides performers to find honesty in their choices and to trust that small, truthful moments make the biggest impact on screen.

“My job as a director is to create space for actors to be real. When you stop performing and start listening, that’s where the magic happens.”
