Lynsey is a respected leader in dance education and a creative force in the theatre/dance scene. She holds multiple roles at Urdang Academy: Principal, Artistic Director of Dance, Senior Lecturer, and Student Experience Director. Before stepping into leadership at Urdang, Lynsey pursued a substantial performing career, spending more than 17 years in the West End, achieving rich experience across performance and choreography. In 2022, Urdang formally merged with City, University of London to integrate its programmes into City’s broader performing arts and music provision. Lynsey played a key role in guiding this transition, aligning the academy’s mission with the university structure and championing the benefits for staff and students alike.

Lynsey’s teaching is rooted in high standards, clarity, and artistic integrity. In her role at Urdang, she emphasises not just technique but performance presence, creative expression, and the holistic development of her students.
